About the job

Description

MEDvidi is an AI-powered mental healthcare platform setting a new standard for safe, effective, and scalable psychiatric care in the United States.

We combine licensed providers with proprietary AI tools to deliver consistent, outcomes-driven treatment for conditions like ADHD, anxiety, depression, and more. MEDvidi's technology automates charting, follow-ups, and treatment planning, freeing providers to focus on patient care while improving efficiency and clinical quality.

As Staff Product Designer, you will own the end-to-end design of MEDvidi's AI Track, the core line of AI-powered clinical tools where providers interact with model outputs in a regulated healthcare environment. Your design decisions directly shape how clinicians review, accept, and correct AI-generated notes, treatment plans, and recommendations, impacting both provider efficiency and patient outcomes.

You will work closely with product managers and engineers, reporting to the Director of Product. This is a senior IC role with no direct reports: you drive product design from problem definition through delivery, gather requirements independently, and bring solutions to release. Your scope includes provider-facing tools (Chart Review, AI Scribe, AI Receptionist), patient portal, and internal operational systems, all web-based.

Why this role

  • Zero-to-one in AI-first environment. You will shape new interaction patterns for agentic AI features: Chart Review, AI Scribe, AI Receptionist, where design quality directly affects clinical decisions.
  • Prototype in real code, not Figma mockups. Prototyping happens in Claude Code and Cursor on the actual codebase with production components. Your prototypes go straight to engineering without redrawing.
  • Co-own a design system built for humans and AI agents. You will evolve reusable components, tokens, and documentation that are readable by both your teammates and code-generation agents, a rare opportunity to define what design systems look like in an AI-native workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Own product design in your areas of the AI Track end-to-end: from defining the problem with the product manager, through user analysis, to working with engineers on the solution and accepting the build.
  • Design and iterate on human-AI interaction patterns: interfaces where providers verify, accept, edit, or reject model output and bring those patterns to a state where other teams can reuse them.
  • Ensure quality of design decisions: validate solutions with users when needed, perform design acceptance with engineering, analyze post-release results, and feed learnings back into the product.
  • Contribute to the design system within product initiatives: turn your solutions into reusable components in Storybook with tokens, naming, and documentation that are usable by both designers and AI code-generation agents.
  • Gather requirements independently: go to providers, medical operations, and product managers, identify problems, and bring back a proposal. There is no standing PM brief in AI Track, you shape the brief.
  • Accelerate design delivery using AI tools: build functional prototypes in Claude Code or Cursor on the real codebase with production components; prototypes go to engineering without redrawing.

This role is not for you if

  • You need a detailed brief before starting work. Requirements here are gathered by you, not handed to you, there is no PM or BA writing specs for AI Track.
  • You prefer managing people over hands-on design. This is an IC role with no direct reports; the impact comes from the quality of your own design decisions.
  • You design exclusively in Figma and hand off static specs. Prototyping at MEDvidi happens in code on the real codebase using AI agents, comfort with a code editor is a daily requirement, not a nice-to-have.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in product design, with a focus on complex work interfaces: EHR, admin panels, CRM, operational tools, or other systems where specialists perform their core work.
  • Demonstrable experience designing human-AI interaction: interfaces where users verify, accept, edit, or reject model output. Building a 0-to-1 agentic product is ideal; experience with review-and-approval interfaces for automated decisions also qualifies.
  • Hands-on prototyping in code using AI agents (Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent) on an existing component library or codebase, not just design tools.
  • Track record of contributing to a design system within product work: shipping reusable components, tokens, and documentation as part of feature delivery, not as a standalone project.
  • Proven ability to gather requirements independently, finding problems, talking to users and stakeholders, and driving a solution to release without waiting for a mandated brief.
  • Advanced English (B2+) and fluent Russian.
  • Availability to work within CET-compatible hours.

Would be a plus

  • Experience in healthcare or telemedicine products: understanding of HIPAA, clinical compliance constraints, and the provider's role in decision-making.
  • Experience leading a design team's transition to AI tools: setting up shared agent workflows, running workshops, driving adoption across peers.
  • Hands-on user research with specialist users: usability testing and interviews with doctors, nurses, or clinical operators (not only end consumers).

What we offer

  • High-impact environment: A chance to contribute to a product-driven company in the medical tech space.
  • Growth & compensation: Clear growth opportunities and a competitive compensation package.
  • Remote-first: Fully remote long-term collaboration under a B2B model.
  • Health & wellness: Health insurance after the probation period, plus sports & wellness compensation.
  • Career development: Clear growth opportunities, including personalized English lessons via Preply.
  • Time off: 19 paid vacation days annually, 4 additional wellness days each year, and paid sick leave for the first 5 working days.
  • Culture: Thoughtful
